What does Genesis 36:7 mean?
When Esau and his brother Jacob tried to live in the same region, their combined wealth in animals and possessions became impossible to sustain in one place. There simply wasn't enough pasture and water for all their herds and flocks. This verse shows how abundance can sometimes create practical problems: success brought them to a point where they had to separate for the sake of both families and their animals' survival. It's a quiet reminder that sometimes we need to make difficult choices about relationships or situations not because of conflict, but simply because circumstances don't allow everyone to thrive in the same space.
