Genesis 26:22
“He left that place, and dug another well. They didn’t argue over that one. He called it Rehoboth. He said, “For now Yahweh has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.””
What does Genesis 26:22 mean?
Isaac had been facing constant conflict over water rights with the local people, but when he dug this well, finally there was peace. His choice to name it Rehoboth, meaning "wide spaces" or "room," reflects his relief and gratitude that the disputes had ended.
