“Isaac departed from there, encamped in the valley of Gerar, and lived there.”
What does Genesis 26:17 mean?
After conflict with King Abimelech over water rights, Isaac made the difficult choice to leave and find peace elsewhere. He moved his entire household to the valley of Gerar, a less contested area where he could settle and rebuild. Sometimes following God's leading means stepping away from a fight, even when you're right, and trusting that there's provision waiting for you in a new place.
