What does Genesis 25:27 mean?

These twin brothers developed into completely different kinds of men. Esau became the rugged outdoorsman, comfortable with physical work and the unpredictable demands of hunting, while Jacob preferred the settled, domestic life around the family tents. The description isn't meant to make either one sound better than the other at this point, just to show how distinctly they were already turning out, even though they shared the same womb. This contrast sets up the tension that will define their entire relationship, where their different temperaments and desires will eventually lead them into conflict.
