What does Genesis 22:4 mean?
After three days of walking toward the mountain where God asked him to sacrifice his son Isaac, Abraham finally sees the destination ahead. This moment captures both the physical reality of the journey and something deeper: the weight of what he's been carrying internally for those three days, and now the place itself coming into view makes it all terrifyingly real. The simple act of lifting his eyes and seeing the distant mountain represents the moment when faith must become action, when the command he received from God can no longer stay abstract or theoretical.
