Genesis 13:15
“for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring forever.”
What does Genesis 13:15 mean?
God is making a promise to Abram that goes far beyond what he can see from where he's standing. The land stretching out before him, and everything beyond it, will belong to him and his descendants as a permanent inheritance. This wasn't just a temporary gift or something conditional on future behavior, but something established forever. For Abram, who had left his homeland in faith and was still a nomadic traveler without a place to call his own, this promise would have been both stunning and deeply reassuring. Even when his circumstances looked uncertain, God was telling him that his family would have a home, a future, and a secure place to flourish.
