What does Galatians 6:5 mean?

Paul is reminding us that while we should help carry each other's heavy loads (as he mentions just before this), ultimately each person is responsible for their own choices, growth, and spiritual journey. This isn't cold or lonely, but rather honest: no one else can do your inner work for you, believe for you, or live your faith for you. You can't outsource your relationship with God or your personal integrity to someone else, no matter how much they care about you. What others can do is support, encourage, and walk alongside you, but the weight of becoming who God is calling you to be rests on your own shoulders.
