Galatians 5:3
“Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.”
What does Galatians 5:3 mean?
Paul is warning people who are considering circumcision as a spiritual requirement that they're making a serious commitment. If you adopt one rule from the Old Testament law as essential to your faith, you're essentially signing up to follow all of them, and that's an impossible burden. He's pushing back against teachers who suggested that following Jewish practices would somehow complete or improve the believers' faith in Christ. The point isn't really about circumcision itself, but about the danger of thinking you need to earn God's favor through rule-keeping when Christ has already done the work for you.
