Galatians 1:3
“Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,”
What does Galatians 1:3 mean?
Paul opens his letter with a blessing that was common in early Christian greetings, but it carries deep meaning. Grace refers to God's unearned favor and kindness toward us, while peace speaks to wholeness and right relationship, both with God and within ourselves. By invoking both grace and peace "from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ," Paul is affirming that these gifts come through the work of Jesus and flow from God's heart toward us. It's his way of saying: "I'm writing to you as someone who knows you're already loved and that you belong in God's family."
