Galatians 1:24
“And they glorified God in me.”
What does Galatians 1:24 mean?
Paul is reflecting on how the churches in Judea responded when they heard about his dramatic conversion from persecutor to apostle. What struck them wasn't Paul himself, but what God had done in transforming him, and they gave God the credit and praise for it. In a season when Paul faced criticism and doubt about his calling, he's reminding the Galatians that his change of life was so complete and real that even the original churches—led by Jesus's own disciples—recognized God's hand in it. There's deep encouragement here: when God works in our lives, others often see His fingerprints on us before we fully see them ourselves, and that witness becomes its own kind of encouragement to those who knew us before.
