Ezra 7:23
“Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be done exactly for the house of the God of heaven; for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?”
What does Ezra 7:23 mean?
King Artaxerxes is giving Ezra authority to restore worship in Jerusalem, and here he's emphasizing that whatever God requires should be carried out completely and without delay. The king recognizes that neglecting God's house could bring divine anger not just on the Jewish people, but potentially on his own kingdom and family as well.
