Ezekiel 9:10

What does Ezekiel 9:10 mean?
God is speaking here about His response to the deep unfaithfulness He sees in Jerusalem. He's saying that He won't look away from what's happening or soften His response, but will let the natural consequences of the people's own choices come back to them. It's a hard saying, but it reflects something true: when we persistently reject God's guidance and turn to destructive ways, we eventually face the weight of those decisions ourselves. This doesn't mean God is cruel or enjoys punishment. Rather, it's the reality that our actions have consequences, and God—who sees everything—won't pretend otherwise or shield people from the results of their own rebellion. For those in difficult seasons, this can actually be a word of honesty: God doesn't minimize our pain or pretend wrongs don't matter, but He also calls us to take responsibility and turn back toward Him.
