Ezekiel 8:15
“Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? You will again see yet greater abominations than these.””
What does Ezekiel 8:15 mean?
God is warning Ezekiel that the spiritual corruption he's witnessing in Jerusalem is going to get worse before it gets better. The prophet has just been shown idolatry and hidden wickedness happening right in the temple itself, and this revelation is meant to prepare him for even deeper unfaithfulness to come. It's a sobering moment, but also a call for Ezekiel to stay alert and faithful, knowing that God is fully aware of what's happening, even when sin seems to multiply. For those facing difficult circumstances, this can be a reminder that God doesn't look away from our struggles or the brokenness around us, and He sometimes allows us to see hard truths so we can respond with faith rather than denial.
