What does Ezekiel 6:7 mean?

When people face the hard consequences of turning away from God, it becomes undeniable who holds real authority and power. Ezekiel is speaking to a nation that has ignored God's warnings repeatedly, so this verse describes judgment that finally makes people stop and recognize the reality they've denied. It's not meant to be cruel, but rather honest about what happens when we build our lives on things that can't sustain us. Sometimes people only recognize God's presence and truth in the midst of loss or collapse, when all our other certainties have failed.
