Ezekiel 6:2
““Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy to them,”
What does Ezekiel 6:2 mean?
God is calling Ezekiel to turn his attention and energy toward the people of Israel with an urgent message. "Setting your face" means to face something directly and deliberately, with full intention, rather than glancing sideways or halfheartedly. The "mountains of Israel" represent the land and its people, who at this point had turned away from God and needed to hear a hard truth about the consequences of their choices. This is God commissioning Ezekiel to speak boldly and clearly, even though the message won't be easy to deliver or to hear.
