What does Ezekiel 48:20 mean?

This verse describes the dimensions of land set aside as a sacred offering to God in Ezekiel's vision of a restored Israel. The square measurement (25,000 cubits on each side) represents both order and completeness, with the city itself situated within this consecrated territory. Ezekiel is showing the Israelites that when they return from exile, their entire community—both the sacred priesthood and the people who live there—will be woven together as one unified, holy offering to God. It's a vision meant to encourage them that their restoration won't just be a return to normal life, but a return to right relationship with God at the center of everything.
