Ezekiel 47:6
“He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen?” Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the bank of the river.”
What does Ezekiel 47:6 mean?
The prophet Ezekiel has been shown a stunning vision of water flowing from God's temple, bringing life and healing to everything it touches. Now his guide (an angel figure) asks if he's really grasped what he's witnessing, then walks him back to the riverbank so he can see the full picture from a different vantage point. It's a moment of gentle redirection, inviting Ezekiel to look again with fresh eyes and deeper understanding. Sometimes we need to step back and see things from another angle to truly comprehend God's work in the world, especially when we're overwhelmed or confused by what we're experiencing.
