Ezekiel 47:4

What does Ezekiel 47:4 mean?
In this vision, Ezekiel is being guided through a river that's mysteriously growing deeper as he moves forward. With each thousand cubits (roughly 1,500 feet), the water rises from his ankles to his knees, then to his waist, creating a sense of increasing immersion and surrender. This progressive deepening is Ezekiel's invitation to move deeper into God's presence and purposes, trusting even as the waters rise beyond his control. The passage comes near the end of Ezekiel's prophecies, when he's describing a restoration vision of Jerusalem and the temple. The flowing water symbolizes God's life-giving presence spreading out to heal and renew the land. What makes this image so striking is that Ezekiel must walk further into the current to experience more of what God is doing.
