Ezekiel 36:7
“Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: “I have sworn, ‘Surely the nations that are around you will bear their shame.’”
What does Ezekiel 36:7 mean?
God is speaking here to the people of Israel after their exile, when they felt abandoned and ashamed among the nations around them. Rather than leaving them in that shame, God makes a solemn oath that the surrounding peoples who mocked and mistreated them will themselves face disgrace. This is God's way of saying: your humiliation will not be permanent, and those who scorned you will answer for it. For anyone reading this during a time when you feel looked down on or judged unfairly, this verse carries a powerful reassurance.
