What does Ezekiel 33:25 mean?

God is confronting people who are breaking His law while acting as though they deserve His blessings. Eating meat with blood still in it was forbidden in God's law, and lifting eyes to idols meant worshiping false gods, yet these people were also committing violence ("shed blood"). The rhetorical question at the end is devastating: How can you possibly expect to inherit and keep this land when you're living in direct rebellion against everything I've commanded? This speaks to a painful contradiction many of us recognize in ourselves or others, the gap between wanting God's provision and peace while ignoring His guidance. The passage reminds us that we can't cherry-pick obedience or expect blessing while holding onto practices we know displease God.
