Ezekiel 32:25

They have set her a bed among the slain with all her multitude. Her graves are around her; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for their terror was caused in the land of the living, and they have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit. He is put among those who are slain.

What does Ezekiel 32:25 mean?

Ezekiel is describing a nation (represented as a woman) that will be defeated and stripped of honor, lying among other fallen powers. The "uncircumcised" here signals those outside God's covenant, emphasizing spiritual separation alongside physical death. In life, these people spread terror through the land, but death levels everyone equally, removing all distinction and power. The passage reminds us that no earthly dominance lasts, and that pride and violence ultimately lead to the same grave as everyone else, a sobering reality for those who trust in military might rather than God.
