Ezekiel 30:25
“I will hold up the arms of the king of Babylon; and the arms of Pharaoh will fall down. Then they will know that I am Yahweh, when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he stretches it out on the land of Egypt.”
What does Ezekiel 30:25 mean?
God is declaring that He will strengthen Babylon's king in battle while Egypt's pharaoh will grow weak, and through this military outcome, people will recognize God's true power at work. Ezekiel lived during a time when the great empires of Babylon and Egypt were competing for dominance, and many people were confused about which gods were real and which nation would survive. By predicting that God would actively support Babylon's military campaign against Egypt, Ezekiel was showing that the God of Israel (not the Egyptian gods) controlled the course of history.
