What does Ezekiel 27:15 mean?
Tyre was one of the ancient world's greatest trading cities, and this verse captures the reach of its commerce. The people of Dedan (from what's now Saudi Arabia) and merchants from distant islands all brought their goods to Tyre's markets, seeking what the city offered in return. Ivory and ebony—luxury materials that signaled wealth and power—were among the precious items flowing through these trade routes.
