What does Ezekiel 26:8 mean?
This is God's word to the prophet Ezekiel about the siege of Tyre, a wealthy coastal city that had grown proud and complacent. The language is brutal because it's describing the real devastation that would come when the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar attacked, using the military tactics of that era: battering rams, siege mounds, and shields for protection as soldiers advanced.
