Ezekiel 22:31

What does Ezekiel 22:31 mean?
God is describing the natural consequences that follow when a community turns away from him and pursues injustice. When Ezekiel prophesied this, Jerusalem had become filled with corruption, violence, and idolatry, and God allowed the city to experience the results of its own choices, rather than protecting it from harm. The "fire of wrath" here isn't random punishment but the logical outcome of breaking the covenant relationship with God, much like how ignoring a warning about a cliff's edge leads to a fall.
