What does Ezekiel 2:1 mean?

God is calling Ezekiel to wake up and pay attention, literally inviting him to stand and listen. Being told to stand on your feet is about readiness and presence, not just physical posture but a kind of spiritual alertness. God isn't speaking to someone passive or lying down, but to someone who's prepared to receive a message and perhaps carry it forward. This opening to Ezekiel's prophetic calling sets the tone: God wants active, engaged listeners, people willing to hear something that might challenge or change them.
