“Samaria hasn’t committed half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they, and have justified your sisters by all your abominations which you have done.”
What does Ezekiel 16:51 mean?
God is speaking to Jerusalem through the prophet Ezekiel, using harsh language to wake the people up to how far they've drifted. The comparison to Samaria (the northern kingdom that fell to Assyria) shows just how severe Jerusalem's unfaithfulness has become—they've actually outdone their neighbors in breaking covenant with God.
