Ezekiel 13:2

What does Ezekiel 13:2 mean?
God is calling Ezekiel to confront the prophets who speak only what they want to hear, not what God actually says. These false prophets were inventing messages "out of their own heart," meaning they were following their own desires and telling people comforting lies instead of God's truth. Ezekiel's job was to name this clearly and redirect people back to what God was actually saying, even when it was hard. This matters because in any community, there's always pressure to say what people want to hear rather than what's true and necessary.
