What does Ezekiel 11:25 mean?
After receiving his overwhelming vision of God's throne and throne-chariot, Ezekiel felt compelled to share what he'd witnessed with the Jewish exiles around him in Babylon. He understood that this wasn't private spiritual experience meant for him alone, but a message his suffering community needed to hear. In speaking to the captives, Ezekiel was essentially saying, "God hasn't abandoned you, even here in exile—I've seen his glory, and he's still present and aware of what's happening to you." For people in desperate circumstances, knowing that their suffering hasn't escaped God's attention can be profoundly steadying.
