What does Ezekiel 10:17 mean?

Ezekiel is describing the mysterious heavenly chariot he's witnessing, where the wheels move in perfect harmony with the winged creatures pulling the throne. There's no lag, no confusion, no wheel moving when the creatures stand still or staying behind when they rise. The key phrase "the spirit of the living creature was in them" tells us why: the wheels aren't independent objects being dragged along. They're animated by the same divine presence that moves the creatures themselves. It's a picture of perfect unity and responsiveness, where every part works as one thing because one spirit coordinates them all. For anyone feeling fragmented or out of sync with where God seems to be leading, this image suggests that when we're truly aligned with God's Spirit, there's a natural flowing together, rather than constant strain and resistance.
