Ezekiel 10:15
βThe cherubim mounted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar.β
What does Ezekiel 10:15 mean?
Ezekiel is describing an overwhelming vision of God's throne and the heavenly beings who surround it. The cherubim (powerful angelic creatures) are lifting up from where he saw them, and he's identifying them as the same mysterious living creatures he'd encountered earlier by the river Chebar, where God first called him to be a prophet. What matters most here is that Ezekiel is trying to make sense of something almost beyond words, connecting different parts of his vision to confirm what he's seeing is real and consistent, even though it defies ordinary experience.
