What does Exodus 8:15 mean?
When the plague of frogs ended and Pharaoh got a moment of relief, he went right back to refusing Moses and Aaron—just as God had already said he would. This reveals something painful about how we sometimes respond to mercy: instead of using a break to reflect or change course, we harden ourselves even more. Pharaoh had a chance to let the Israelites go, but comfort made him stubborn rather than grateful. It's a reminder that knowing God's goodness doesn't automatically soften our hearts; often we need to actively choose openness over the defensiveness that feels safer in the moment.
