Exodus 7:15
“Go to Pharaoh in the morning. Behold, he goes out to the water; and you shall stand by the river’s bank to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent you shall take in your hand.”
What does Exodus 7:15 mean?
God is sending Moses to confront Pharaoh at a moment and place where the king will be vulnerable—during his private morning ritual at the river. By meeting him at the water rather than in his palace, Moses gets an audience without the usual barriers of ceremony and advisors. The instruction to bring the rod (the same one that became a serpent before) is a reminder that Moses doesn't rely on his own power or persuasiveness, but on God's demonstrated ability to do the impossible. Even when facing someone as powerful as a pharaoh, the real strength comes from trusting that God goes before us and equips us for what he asks.
