What does Exodus 40:28 mean?

In the final stages of building the tabernacle, Moses is carefully completing each detail God has instructed him to make. This particular screen or curtain served as the entrance to the tent where God's presence would dwell among the people. By hanging it, Moses was essentially finishing the sacred space and preparing it to be set apart for worship. For those walking through difficult times, this verse quietly reminds us that God cares about thresholds and boundaries. Just as this screen marked where the holy meets the ordinary, God creates spaces in our lives where we can meet him, separated from the noise and chaos around us. The small act of hanging a curtain was part of something profoundly important: making a way for people to encounter their God.
