What does Exodus 39:31 mean?
The priests who served in God's temple needed their uniforms to stay secure and intact during their sacred duties. This verse describes the final detail of the high priest's breastplate, a pouch-like garment containing stones that represented the twelve tribes of Israel. A blue cord tied the breastplate firmly to the priest's turban so it wouldn't slip or fall during worship and service.
