Exodus 39:1
“Of the blue, purple, and scarlet, they made finely worked garments, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as Yahweh commanded Moses.”
What does Exodus 39:1 mean?
The skilled workers had just completed the tabernacle itself, and now they turn their attention to the priestly garments. These weren't ordinary clothes but carefully crafted vestments in royal colors (blue, purple, and scarlet) that set Aaron apart as the one who would represent the people before God. The repeated emphasis on following God's exact instructions shows how seriously this work was taken, because everything about worship, down to the smallest detail of what the priests wore, mattered as an expression of reverence and order.
