Exodus 38:9
“He made the court: for the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, one hundred cubits;”
What does Exodus 38:9 mean?
The tabernacle in the wilderness was surrounded by a courtyard, and this verse describes the beginning of those outer walls. The south side was lined with curtains made of finely woven linen, stretching for about 150 feet (the length of a cubit). This courtyard created a sacred boundary, separating the tent of meeting and its altar from the rest of the camp, marking where ordinary Israelites could approach for worship.
