Exodus 32:29
“Moses said, “Consecrate yourselves today to Yahweh, yes, every man against his son, and against his brother; that he may give you a blessing today.””
What does Exodus 32:29 mean?
After the people made and worshipped a golden calf while Moses was on Mount Sinai, judgment fell on the community. Moses called the Levites to stand with him and enforce God's holiness, which meant some had to act against their own family members who'd participated in the rebellion.
