Exodus 31:13

What does Exodus 31:13 mean?
God is telling Moses to remind the Israelites that keeping the Sabbath (a day of rest each week) isn't just a rule to follow, but a sacred sign of their relationship with him. By pausing their work and resting on the seventh day, they were declaring that God is their source of strength and holiness, not their own endless striving. This practice would pass down through generations as a way for them to remember, again and again, that their true sustenance comes from the one who made them whole and set them apart for his purposes.
