Exodus 30:1
““You shall make an altar to burn incense on. You shall make it of acacia wood.”
What does Exodus 30:1 mean?
God is instructing Moses to create a special altar—different from the main altar used for animal sacrifices—this one specifically for burning incense as a form of worship and prayer. Acacia wood was chosen because it was durable, naturally available in the desert wilderness, and wouldn't rot or easily deteriorate in the tabernacle.
