You shall put all of this in Aaron’s hands, and in his sons’ hands, and shall wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh.

What does Exodus 29:24 mean?

When Moses set apart Aaron and his sons as priests, God instructed him to place the offerings into their hands and then wave them before the Lord. This "waving" was a physical gesture that dedicated these gifts to God's service, symbolizing that the priests themselves were being presented to God for their sacred work. It's a beautiful picture of consecration, where both the offerings and the people offering them were being set apart as holy and belonging to the Lord. The act of waving the gift toward heaven and back was a way of saying, "This is for you, God, and these men are yours too."
