Exodus 28:2
“You shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.”
What does Exodus 28:2 mean?
God was instructing Moses to create special clothes for his brother Aaron, who would serve as the high priest. These garments weren't meant to be plain or ordinary, but beautiful and dignified, reflecting the sacred work Aaron would do. The idea is that how we present ourselves in important roles matters, not out of vanity, but because honoring God sometimes means giving our best effort to the details. When we care for ourselves and our appearance in service to something greater than ourselves, it becomes an act of respect and reverence.
