What does Exodus 28:10 mean?
The Israelite high priest wore a breastplate with two stones set in gold, each engraved with the names of six of the twelve tribes. By carrying all twelve tribe names close to his heart as he entered God's presence, the priest represented the entire community before the Lord, making their needs and identity part of his sacred work. This wasn't merely decorative, but a way of saying that every person mattered and belonged in God's eyes, regardless of their tribe or status.
