Exodus 26:5
“You shall make fifty loops in the one curtain, and you shall make fifty loops in the edge of the curtain that is in the second coupling. The loops shall be opposite one another.”
What does Exodus 26:5 mean?
The tabernacle's curtains needed to be joined together perfectly to create a unified sacred space, and these loops were the practical method for that joining. Each set of fifty loops would be carefully positioned so that when two curtains were brought face to face, the loops on one side would directly align with the loops on the other, creating a secure connection where clasps could be fastened through them.
