Exodus 26:16
“Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and one and a half cubits the width of each board.”
What does Exodus 26:16 mean?
The Israelites were building the tabernacle, God's portable tent of worship, and these boards formed the wooden frame structure of its walls. Each board needed to be a specific size (about 15 feet long and 2.25 feet wide) so they would fit together properly with all the other pieces, creating a sanctuary that was both beautiful and functional. This kind of detail shows how seriously the people took their worship space, measuring everything carefully as a way of honoring God with their work.
