What does Exodus 25:26 mean?

God is giving Moses detailed instructions for building the table that will hold the bread of the presence in the temple, and these rings serve a very practical purpose: they allow the table to be carried by poles when the Israelites move camp. What might seem like an obscure detail actually shows God's care for how His people worship, making sure the sacred furniture can travel with them through the wilderness. Even in the specifics of construction, there's a message that worship is portable, that God goes with us wherever we are, and that the things that connect us to Him aren't confined to one place. These rings, hidden in the corners of the table's feet, remind us that God notices and provides for every detail of how we gather to encounter Him.
