Exodus 24:7
“He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said, “All that Yahweh has spoken will we do, and be obedient.””
What does Exodus 24:7 mean?
At Mount Sinai, Moses holds the written agreement God has just made with Israel, reading it aloud so everyone hears what God expects of them. The people's response, "we will do and obey," shows their genuine commitment in that moment, a solemn promise made before God and their community.
