Exodus 23:20
““Behold, I send an angel before you, to keep you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.”
What does Exodus 23:20 mean?
God is promising the Israelites that they won't make this journey to the promised land alone. An angel will go ahead of them, protecting them from danger and guiding them toward the home He's prepared. It's a deeply reassuring message: someone trustworthy has been sent specifically to watch over them and shepherd them safely forward. Many of us know what it feels like to face an uncertain road, wondering if we have what it takes or if we'll make it through. This verse whispers that we're not abandoned to figure it out by ourselves.
