What does Exodus 23:17 mean?

God called the Israelite men to gather together three times yearly, during major festivals, to worship him and remember his faithfulness to their nation. These weren't optional suggestions but sacred obligations that shaped the rhythm of their whole year, keeping God's presence and purpose central to their daily lives. For ancient Israel, these gatherings strengthened community bonds and ensured everyone stayed connected to their shared faith and story. While we don't observe these specific festivals today, the principle still speaks to us: regular time set apart for worship and gathering with others who share your faith isn't a luxury or afterthought, but something that matters deeply for your spiritual health and your connection to others.
