What does Exodus 14:10 mean?
In this moment, the Israelites have just escaped Egypt, only to see their former captors pursuing them with military force. They're trapped between the Egyptian army and the sea, and naturally, fear floods through them. Their cry isn't a polished prayer but raw emotion, the kind of desperate call that comes when you've run out of options and nowhere else to turn. What's beautiful here is that their fear actually leads them to God rather than away from him. They don't freeze in panic or give up, they cry out. Sometimes our scariest moments become the times when we're most honest about needing help beyond ourselves, and that honesty is often where real faith begins to grow.
